The Kiwicorn story can help parents and teachers to convey the important message that we’re all different from each other, and being different is awesome!
About Kuwi & Friends
Created by Kat Quin (nee Merewether) - Kat's passion for all things children's books and illustration is apparent throughout all her works to date.
Gaining inspiration and critique from her own six, sparkling tamariki, her honest accounts from a birds eye view are endearing to readers of all ages.
She is quintessentially Kiwi, which erupts through her quirky illustrations, on which she spends thirty plus hours for each delicious spread.
A beautiful book for all ages. Gorgeous illustrations and the mirror at the back is a hit!
Always a fab book, this is one of our faves!
Whilst my daughter and I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t our favourite Kat Mereweather book. We preferred Sleepy Kiwi and Kuwi’s First Egg. It has a nice message but the storyline fails in comparison to her other awesome books!!
We loved this story! It speaks to our family values, celebrating uniqueness. Our new motto; "Stay weird!"
I like the message of self love and appreciation for the unique, but I find the prose a little lacklustre. The pictures are cute and the mirror at the end is a nice surprise.
