What should I look for in a nursing bra?

Just as important as all the beautiful things you have filled your nursery with is a good maternity bra. You'll notice when pregnant that your breasts and nipples can become sore as your breasts start to increase in size.

There is no set time during your pregnancy to buy a nursing bra, but when you find that your bra starts to become uncomfortable to wear its time to go shopping - for yourself!!
As breasts come in different shapes and sizes we recommend that you visit a store instead of buying online, as your favourite go-to brand and size may no longer be suitable.

If you find that your breasts have changed quite early in pregnancy but don't feel ready for a non-underwire bra, then getting a good-fitting, comfortable underwire bra is fine too.

During the first couple of weeks after delivery, most women who establish breastfeeding will notice their breasts may suddenly increase in size again and again.
This is when your breasts are adjusting to milk production and increasing needs of the baby. It is also noticed after delivery that your band size will return closer to your pre-pregnancy band size. Again, this is why we recommend you get a personal fitting in-store - you don't want to be left with bras that are now too big!
