For a time Dwayne and his mother lived in Grey Lynn, Auckland with his Samoan grandparents. He went to Richmond Road Primary School, played rugby and still has family in New Zealand.

Working for more than fifteen years for clients in top advertising agencies, her books combine creativity with learning, aiming to establish a new and fresh relationship between children and pop culture.

Anna Katharina Jansen is a freelance illustrator, based in Germany, who graduated with an MA in illustration from HAW Hamburg. Her clients include: Google, GLAD! magazine, Frankfurt Book Fair, and Parents magazine.
