You will get the best battery life when it is used on medium volume without the nightlight. The lower the volume played at, the longer your battery will last (and considerably longer when the light is not used).

The machine does come with a little bit of demo charge already. For longevity of your battery we suggest not having the unit plugged in whilst playing. Only charge when necessary.
