Are there any car seats that uses the same base for the capsule and car seat?

Yes there are!

Lots of people ask us if there are any capsules that use the same base as the second stage car seat, so we decided that we should include a couple in our range. The two that we have chosen are the Maxi Cosi Pebble Plus/ 2 Way Pearl, and the BeSafe Izi Modular/ Modular Car Seat. Both of these systems comply with the new Euorpean safety standard iSize, and rate really well in the European consumer tests for safety and ease of use, of course it's also a bonus that you don't need to buy as many things, and we always love products that pull double duty.

The bases

Both the Maxi Cosi 2 Way Fix Base and BeSafe Izi Modular Base have front braces and support legs.

1. The front brace sits against the back of the back seat, sometimes called the lollipop, it provides stability and stops backward momentum. The BeSafe base has an adjustable front brace, which you can position further out from the base, so that when the car seat is in the rear facing position the child is sitting further towards the front of the car, with more leg room.

2. The support leg touches the floor of the car. It stops forward momentum in an accident, in the same way that a tether does.

Can either of those capsules connect to my stroller?

Yes they can! Both the Maxi Cosi Pebble Plus and BeSafe Izi Modular capsules can connect to pretty much any stroller using Maxi Cosi adaptors. If your stroller is from Global Baby you may be able to use the adaptors below, if your stroller is from somewhere else they should also sell Maxi Cosi adaptors for that stroller, the top part of the adaptors will look the same as the ones below, the bottom part of the adaptors will be specific to your stroller, so they'll look different.

How to stop your child unbuckling their seat belt

One problem that some parents will face at one time or another is how to stop their child from unbuckling their own seat belt. It can be a problem for children who are sitting in a booster seat that uses the cars three point seat belt. There are products on the market that will slide over the buckle so that the child can't press the button, kind of making them kiddy proof. We don't sell those products because we worry that the average person in the community wouldn't know how to work them at first, potentially slowing things down if you were involved in an
