7 Reasons Why You Should Consider a Mutsy i2
This year Mutsy released the new update to their popular Igo stroller, the i2. I've been using the Mutsy i2 for a few weeks now and there are so, so many things to love about this stroller! Here are my top 7.
1. So easy to push
The i2 (and the Igo) have great suspension in the front wheels, giving them shock absorption and making the ride nice and smooth for bubs. The front wheels are larger than some strollers, for example the Bugaboo Cameleon3, which helps when it comes to pushing over bumpy terrain, and curbs, but they're not so big that they're heavy.
2. Lots of accessories
I love how many accessories are available for the i2, my fave in this cold weather right now is the footmuff, but there is also a cool cup holder, UV cover, and the cool buggy board in the image above.
Sometimes I attach the cup holder to the lower part of the frame, for my big girl to use for her drink bottle, she thinks it's fantastic.
3. Take it with, or without the carry cot
Some of our customers don't want to buy a carry cot, either because they don't think they'll get much use out of it, or they're buying maxi-cosi adapters to attach their capsule (car seat) and they want to use them instead. We also have a few customers with babies a few months old, they've purchased strollers somewhere else that they don't like and they want to switch to an i2. Their babies are usually past the carry cot stage, so it's good to have the option to buy the stroller without it, and save $300.
4. Reversible seat
I say this all the time, but your baby's favourite thing in the whole world to look at, is you. Having the option of strolling with your baby facing you is a huge bonus! I love being able to chat and smile to my baby while I walk, if she is upset I can give her some reassuring words, I know if her hat slides over her eyes or if she's in the sun.
The i2 has a toddler foot rest when the seat is in the forward facing position, so when your baby grows up they might be more comfortable facing the world.
5. Reclinable seat
The i2 has a four step, ergonomic recline. Take a look at some of the other strollers on the market and you'll notice that when the baby is in the reclined sleeping position, they're not lying flat. Their back might be parallel to the ground, but they're still in a seated position with bent legs. The i2 has an ergonomic recline so when the baby is in the sleeping position the seat is completely flat, making for comfy sleeps.
6. Car seat adapters
Maxi-Cosi adapters are available to purchase separately and they do make life with a new bubba just a little bit easier. With the adapters you can click your capsule (car seat) straight into the frame of the i2, which is totally handy if baby is sleeping, if you're in a hurry, or if baby is a bit tired and you don't want to disturb them. The Maxi-Cosi adapters are compatible with a range of capsules, not just Maxi-Cosi, in the image above we're using a BeSafe capsule.
Another bonus is that you can fold and unfold the frame of the stroller with the adapters attached, this is a huge bonus that not all strollers have!
Compatible with these capsules: MAXI-COSI Mico, Mico AP, Mico NXT, Mico Max 30, Citi, Cabrio, CabrioFix & Pebble Plus, Cybex Aton, Aton 2 & Cloud Q, Mountain Buggy Protect, Phil&Teds Alpha, Nuna Pipa, BeSafe Izigo, Kiddy Evolution Pro 2 & Evo Lunafix.
